My 1929 Hillman Straight 8 was my Grandfathers car imported new as per <rootes export papers> it was then given to my father in 1946 (see transfer papers) and then to me . The Hillman is all original & complete as no parts went missing throughout it's life. I also have a Straight 8 chassis car complete, but no body. I have plenty of parts for the Straight 8 which I have collected over the years, also lots of info & photos. You can email anytime on ATFT@OPTUSNET.COM.AU
When Sir Henry Seagrave drove the Golden Arrow at Daytona Beach in 1929, he was given Hillman Straight 8 cars as his drive cars. They were made left hand drive for the USA market, does anyone know where the cars are now? Did they stay in the USA or go back to England?
